Are
you missing decorations?

Anyone that is missing outdoor Christmas decorations in the area of 4700
block at Ramshead, please contact the Board.
Happy

Please do not forget that the Association Dues are due January 1st. You
will have 30 days to pay the first payment before it is turned over
to the attorney for collection.
January
Board Meeting

January's Board meeting will be help on the third Tuesday, the 15th, due
to a scheduling conflict with the Farm Bureau Community Center. The
remaining months of 2008 will be held on the second Tuesday.
The
2008 Budget

The 2008 Approved Budget has been added online. Just click on

The December meeting had to be canceled. The Board forgot that there was a
scheduling conflict with the room for the month. We will update the
website when we have a firm date. This will also apply for January too.
Quarterly
Payments
Posted: 11/14/2007
Soon, each homeowner will be getting the Association coupons for next
year. There is a big change that you will see; quarterly payments with
no additional service charges. This should help out those homeowners
that can't afford to send in a check for the whole amount in January.
However, with this change requires another change that has to be
implemented. If a homeowner fails to pay 30 days after each quarterly due
date, the homeowner will automatically, without fail, be sent to the
attorney for collection. If that happens, a ~$70 quarterly payment will
increase to over $300.00 due to attorney fees. Please do not let that
happen.
Car vs
Sign

Some homeowners are asking the status of the sign on Newbourne. As you may
know, there was an car accident that took out our sign. One of the reasons
why it is taken so long to repair it was money. The sign cost $3000.00 and
we just don't have that money in the bank. However, the driver's insurance
just now wrote us a check to get a brand new replacement. So the sign is
on its way to being installed.
The
Proposed Amendments

The first proposed amendment (the budget increase) failed before it began.
The reason is because the proposed amendment contained an error. As such,
regardless of the outcome of the vote it was voided. The second reason why
the amendments failed was because there wasn't enough proxies returned.
Out of 920 that were mailed out, just over 100 were returned. Apparently
over 800 homeowners just doesn't care about Copper Ridge.

The Copper Ridge members have elected the following two people to
serve as member of the Board of Directors for 2008-09, David Hilsabeck
and Maria Valdes-Reilly. At the same time, Bryan Schneider switched
officer positions with Anne Marie Murphy. The Board has designated the
office for each as indicated:

The
Annual Meeting / Election

There is two positions available
on the Board. Would you like to volunteer your time to help out your
community? David and Maria, both currently on the Board, will still like
to volunteer. Their names will be on the ballot, will yours? Please send
Sterling Management a certified letter stating you want your name on the
ballot. If not, you can still be a write in candidate.

be considerate; Take Trash Home; Do Not Park on the Grass

We are getting reports that trash is being left at bus stops and that some
parents on parking on the grass while waiting for their children. We ask
both the students and the parents to be considerate and not leave trash or
park in the grass.

The Board is having difficulty finding a location to hold our September
Board meeting. Do you have any suggestions?
The
September Board meeting will be changing.

Due to County Budget cuts, the Valrico Community Center will no longer be
available for our meetings. The Bloomingdale Public Library is not
available either for September. The Board is looking for a location and
will inform the members as soon as we know.

Vandalism
in the Community

As most of you are aware we recently had some vandalism in the community.
The Board of Directors is working to clean up the graffiti. We would like
to thank those homeowners that took their time and efforts in cleaning up
the graffiti.
